Hi David, have you sure the copy is correctly downloaded?

You can test it using the follow command (if you have the iso file on the PC):

md5sum openmamba-livecd-it-milestone1-1.1.i586.iso

And to check that you’ve correctly burnt it: (assuming your CD/DVD reader is /dev/hda)

dd if=/dev/hda bs=2048 count=360036 | md5sum

in both case the result must be:

3cb4aa3893f85ca07dadba2235679f3e

Hi David: if you want (and if your PC is new enough to boot from USB) is possible to buy a pendrive with the distro, so you can try and eventually install it, and then you can also use the pendrive or you can buy a classic DVD directly from the mambasoft’s shop (shop.mambasoft.it). That’s a nice way to support the distro developers also 😉
