PySerial encapsulates the access for the serial port.
It provides backends for Python running on Windows, Linux, BSD (possibly any POSIX compliant system), Jython and IronPython (.NET and Mono).
The module named “serial” automatically selects the appropriate backend.

⚠ This package has the following problems:
- python-serial(noarch,devel-misc): python-serial(noarch,devel-misc) obsoletes python-serial-py3 provided by python-serial-py3(noarch,base) which comes from same source name; ignoring
- python-serial(noarch,devel-misc): mtkclient(noarch,base) requires python3.11dist(pyserial) which is only provided by older package(s): python-serial-py3(noarch,base)
- python-serial(noarch,devel-misc): python-ino-py3(noarch,base) requires python3.11dist(pyserial) which is only provided by older package(s): python-serial-py3(noarch,base)
- need to be rebuilt: mtkclient(x86_64,base) python-ino(x86_64,base)
- requires port to arch(s): aarch64 i586
