Pygments is a generic syntax highlighter for general use in all kinds of software such as forum systems, wikis or other applications that need to prettify source code.
Highlights are:
* a wide range of common languages and markup formats is supported
* special attention is paid to details, increasing quality by a fair amount
* support for new languages and formats are added easily
* a number of output formats, presently HTML, LaTeX, RTF, SVG, all image formats that PIL supports and ANSI sequences
* it is usable as a command-line tool and as a library
* ... and it highlights even Brainfuck!

- python-pygments(noarch,devel-misc): aider-chat(noarch,base) requires python3.11dist(pygments) which is only provided by older package(s): python-pygments-py3(noarch,base)
- python-pygments(noarch,devel-misc): python-nbconvert-py3(noarch,base) requires python3.11dist(pygments) which is only provided by older package(s): python-pygments-py3(noarch,base)
- python-pygments(noarch,devel-misc): rst2pdf(noarch,base) requires python3.11dist(pygments) which is only provided by older package(s): python-pygments-py3(noarch,base)
- python-pygments(noarch,devel-misc): spyder(noarch,devel-makedist) requires python3.11dist(pygments) which is only provided by older package(s): python-pygments-py3(noarch,base)
- need to be rebuilt: aider-chat(x86_64,base) python-nbconvert(x86_64,base) rst2pdf(x86_64,base) spyder(x86_64,devel-makedist)
- requires port to arch(s): aarch64 i586
