Swaks (Swiss Army Knife for SMTP) is a feature-rich, flexible, scriptable, transaction-oriented SMTP test tool written and maintained by John Jetmore. It is designed to test and troubleshoot outbound email servers. Features include SMTP extensions (PIPELINING, STARTTLS, AUTH), TLS/SSL support, multiple authentication mechanisms (PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, NTLM), and IPv6 support.
