Ciao,
dopo aver fatto due aggiornamenti della scheda video quando vedo i video su youtube sia con il kernel 3.4 e con il 3.10 a schermo intero la riproduzione si blocca e ci sono delle righe che vanno dal alto verso il basso in continuo movimento.Ti invio il report di sistema.

Ciao,
da una sessione di assistenza remota ho dato i comandi scritti qua sopra ( gli ultimi 2 )
Ho avuto diversi problemi perché il sistema era instabile ( credo Kde) non ho potuto generare nessun report.
1_il desktop lampeggia quando cerco di interagire sulle finestre
2_ad esempio il tasto modifica sul post del forum mi riduce la finestra
3_non c’è modo di spegnere la macchina se no dal tasto reset fisico.
4_aggiungo che in un tentativo di sessione di skype l’audio assomigliava alla voce di Paperino
attendiamo notizie

praticamente l’accelerazione hardware è stata pian piano rimossa per vecchie schede da mesa > 7;
nel mio caso che ho una S3 savage, devo fermarmi all 8.
l’alternativa è no accelerazione o llvmpipe (un driver software che funziona male sulla mia savage) o bloccarsi a vecchie versioni di mesa (comunque con diversi limiti).

Bisogna capire perché il modulo è stato compilato e perché quando provi a caricarlo viene detto che non esiste. Un problema semplice di ricerca file ma che da trattare qua nel forum potrebbe diventare lungo. Comunque per cominciare che cosa restituisce questo:

? Sospetto che sia un link simbolico.Comunque, scusa, ma rileggendo un altro post tu hai:

questo controller grafico non è più supportato dai driver proprietari per cui dovremmo tornare indietro al driver open e dovresti avviare con la prima voce di boot (modeset abilitato). Se è così proseguirei la discussione su questo problema nell’altro post per evitare confusione tra due problemi diversi.

Ciao,
dopo vari tentativi abbiamo deciso di buttare(buttare in senso figurartivo) la scheda ATI per sostituirla con un NVIDIA silent 210 visto che sul mio pc con o.m funziona alla perfezione.
Adesso vorrei sapere i passi che devo compiere per fare funzionare anche su questa macchina la nuova scheda.

ciao,
dopo aver sostituito la scheda ho riscontrato questi problemi:
con la modalità gnu/linux with linux 3.4 vedo bene i video youtube, le partite in streaming, i film in streaming, ma non mi funziona il gioco con wine non lo carica, facendo la videochiamata con skype gli altri mi vedono bene ma io vedo la mia immagine tutta nera.
Con la modalità driver open sia con il kernel 3.4 che con il 3.10 dopo aver fatto l avvio il desktop è tutto nero.

aggiungo che da un’assistenza remota ho controllato l’esistenza di questi pacchetti installati:
xorg-drv-video-nvidia
kernel-mamba-nongpl-nvidia
libGL-nvidia-X11
xorg-ext-libglx-nvidia
xorg-apps-nvidia
inoltre ho rinominato il file xorg.conf in xorg_old.conf e con utility nvidia ho rigenerato il file xorg.
Magari questo può essere di aiuto.

ciao,
ho scaricato dal sito NVIDIA il file NVIDIA-linux-x86-331.38.run e installato dopo di che è tornato a funzionare il gioco, vedo i video youtube a meraviglia con la modalità kernel 3.4.

ho installato installer dal sito di NVIDIA.IL nome del file è NVIDIA-LINUX-X86-331.38.run.
Sembra che sia tornato a funzionare tutto a meraviglia.Sto usando il kernel 3.10 vedo i video su youtube, skype funziona, il gioco funziona.
