Ciao,allora proviamo un'altra strada, dovresti postare il risultato di: lspci cosi vediamo di che hardware si tratta.
Da quello che leggo in rete si tratta del famigerato driver snd_hda_intel che va caricato con un'opzione specifica su alcuni modelli acer, prova a mettere la riga:
options snd-hda-intel model=acer
nel file /etc/modprobe.conf e riavviare. Se così funziona i comandi:
lspci -vv
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0
ci danno le informazioni per modificare il driver per l'identificazione automatica. Assumo che hai provato l'ultimo livecd con il kernel 2.6.24.
