Salve a tutti.
Sto aiutando un amico ad installare openmamba, ma subito dopo l'avvio la scermata si blocca (non carica) e diventa nera. non parte nemmeno la live.
Potrebbe dipendere dal fatto che la sua architettura hardware è tutta SATA (masterizzatore SATA: LG Electronics GH20NS10 SATA Nero Bare, hd: Western Digital Caviar RE 500GB 16MB SATA-II, scheda madre: Asus P5Q-DELUXE)?
Strano... ho letto che la già dalla pre-release 7 i driver SATA fossero supportati.
Sapete dirmi qualcosa?

Facendo il debug come risultato ho questo:
end_request I/O error, dev=fd0, sector 0

Could not find compressed root filesystem. image; opening a command prompt
Soluzione:
1. Under MAIN / Storage Configuration, I had to change "Configure SATA as ..." to [AHCI]. This allowed the kernel to find my disks and boot.
2. I experienced some weird USB problems while booting, and so under ADVANCED / USB Configuration, I had to change "BIOS EHCI Hand-Off" to [Disabled].
3. For good luck, I also made sure ACPI 2.0 was enabled under power saving.
Un pò scocciante per chi ha un multiboot con win perchè ogni volta deve resettare il bios per passare da un OS all'altro. Però almeno funziona.
