libqt-embedded: The shared library for the Qt GUI toolkit for framebuffer devices.

Qt/Embedded, the embedded Linux port of Qt, is a complete and self-contained C++ GUI and platform development tool for Linux-based embedded development.

Qt/Embedded includes a complete set of GUI classes, operating system encapsulation, data-structure classes, utility and integration classes. Additionally, Qt/Embedded includes a variety of tools to assist in the development, testing and debugging of applications.

The broad scope of the Qt/Embedded API enables it to be used across a wide variety of development projects. Qt/Embedded is used to develop numerous types of products and devices on the market, ranging from consumer electronics (mobile phones, web pads and set top boxes) to industrial controls (medical imaging devices, kiosks, mobile information systems and others).

Qt/Embedded delivers several major benefits to developers of embedded systems and devices:
- has The Same API as Qt Desktop: developers learn one API, but can target multiple desktop environments (Windows, X11, Mac OS X) and embedded Linux environments with a single code base.
- extends the power of Qt to embedded systems: developers can build sophisticated embedded applications that use remarkably small amounts of main memory and flash.
- contains its own windowing system: Qt/Embedded doesn't need other graphical subsystem. It contains everything needed to render graphics directly onto Linux.
- customizable Look and Feel: Qt/Embedded GUIs are extremely customizable and themeable.
- is Completely Modular: in order to reduce memory footprint, Qt/Embedded allows the removal of modules and systems that are not needed.
- includes Full Source-Code: Trolltech delivers full source code to Qt/Embedded customers, enabling them to tune performance specs and debug to a much greater degree.
- integrates with Qtopia: Qtopia, Trolltech's application platform and user interface for PDAs and mobile phones, was built using Qt/Embedded. Qt/Embedded applications can be plugged into Qtopia-based devices with minimal effort.
- integrates with Java: Qt/Embedded integrates with several Java Virtual Machines (JVMs). Java applications can run within a Qt/Embedded based application launcher, providing the same look and feel as the native apps.
