Ho scaricato ed installato Opera.
Download dal sito del file opera-9.50.gcc4-static-qt3.i386.rpm
eseguito il comando apt-get install /home/Maxnard/Desktop/opera-9.50.gcc4-static-qt3.i386.rpm
tutto ok il browser si pare…ma…
La navigazione è rallentatissima, chiudo Opera ed apro Firefox, ma anch’esso apre una pagina ogni tre minuti!
Chiudo definitivamente OpenMamba e riavvio.
Apro Firefox: tutto normale.
Apro Opera: tutto male un’altra volta! Anche Firefox non riesce a navigare.
Chiudo Opera dal pannello applicazioni e riavvio Firefox: tutto ok di nuovo.

Strano: ho provato ad installarlo ma a me funziona bene, anzi mi pare sia più veloce di Firefox.
Purtroppo con Opera è difficile fare un analisi visto che non da nessuna indicazione di cosa sta facendo: prova a vedere l’occupazione di memoria e di processore con top e se i problemi magari sono legati alla gestione dei DNS o dei Plugin lanciando opera con opera -debugdns -debugplugin.

Posto il risultato.
Tieni presente che TUTTA l’operazione – cioè dal comando alla corretta apertura della home page di OpenMamba – è durata OLTRE UN MINUTO!!!
Per la stessa cosa, Konqueror ha impiegato meno di un scondo…

Stranissimo: il risultato è praticamente uguale al mio, ma da me apre istantaneamente. Non riesci a vedere in che punto rallenta maggiormente durante il debug?

non so quando, a volte rallenta a volte no…non è che ho scaricato il file sbagliato? Nel sito c’era una lista di downloads a seconda della distro, io ho scaricato quella “generica” rpm.
eventualmente, si può scaricare la “sorgente” e compilarla? Anche se non so come si faccia, credo che sia un buon motivo per provarci ed imparare!

Io l’ho installato da quello. Se vuoi provare dai sorgenti, ma non credo cambi molto.
Probabilmente c’è qualche plugin che rallenta tutto.
